Nevada

Most known for the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas, Nevada is a stunning state located in the Western part of the United States. The state is bordered by Oregon, Idaho, California, Arizona, and Utah on all sides. Now, Nevada may be landlocked but the diversity of terrain and landscapes will knock you off your feet.

Nevada comes from the Spanish word nevada meaning covered in snow. It is a reference to the snow-covered peaks of the Sierra Nevada. Known for its beautiful mountains, Nevada is a mountainous region that includes both semiarid grasslands and sandy deserts. It is, in fact, one of the driest parts of America.

The dryness of the landscape does not stop Nevada from giving birth to beautiful destinations. In fact, it is its arid nature that makes Nevada such a unique destination with its red rock formations and deserts paired with stunning lakes.

Blessed with natural diversity, Nevada has plenty of landscapes to explore for outdoor adventurers. Of course, Las Vegas is fantastic, but to experience the real Nevada, you would have to get out of its cities.
